THE "IMAGE OF THE WILD BEAST".
"Here is where wisdom comes in: Let the one that has intelligence
calculate the number of the wild beast, for it is a man's number; and its number
is six hundred and sixty-six." (Rev 13:18).
We have been given the number, but how do we
calculate the number 666 that we are told is "a man's number"?
The answer may be obtained after one is given intelligence (knowledge) of the
"appointed times" of God. (Eph 1:10. See Page
666T). These "times" are described in the inspired
writings of Daniel and those of the apostle John in the Revelation by The Christ
Michael. The visions of John were of matters to be fulfilled
"in the Lord's day." (Rev 1:10).
GIVING BREATH TO THE "IMAGE OF THE WILD BEAST".
One must count back 666 years
from the year 1982 to find evidence of the early beginnings of the "image
of the wild beast" to 1316AD
and the reign of Edward II
(1307-1327). His reign was
marked by incompetence and military
defeats. It was also during that time that
the first "Model Parliament" became two
Houses: one including the nobility and higher clergy, the other including
knights and burgesses. From then on, no law could be made, nor tax levied,
without the consent of Parliament. By the
weapon of impeachment* they
also controlled the king's choice of
ministers. Even King Edward II himself was
deposed by Parliament in 1327.
And so the "image of the wild beast" was born, but it was not ready to wield authority over the world
until 1982, 666 years later. (See 13:15 18).
Now with reference to the original "wild
beast" it says in Revelation 13:5, "and authority to act
forty-two months was given it". What did the "wild beast"
do with its 42 months of authority? This: "And there was granted it to
wage war with the holy ones and conquer them, and authority was given it over
every tribe and people and tongue and nation." (13:7). All the
earth followed the "wild beast" with admiration, and worshipped
the "dragon" (satan) because the "dragon" gave its
authority to the "wild beast". (13:3,4).
SO WHO IS THE "EIGHTH KING" OF REVELATION 17:11?
The "image of the wild beast"
is the "eighth king", for it "springs from the
seven" former world powers and is
made up of many nations and their political regimes of organized
rebellion against God. (13:15-17).
Who then are the "ten kings" represented by "ten horns"
that give their authority to the "wild beast" and receive
authority as "kings" for one symbolic "hour" with
the "wild beast" and battle with the "Lamb"? (17:12-14).
These are members of the United Nations
Organization that are given
"one hour" of political authority as "kings" over
international issues of the world with the current "eighth king"
of political regimes of the "image of the wild beast" that
represent satan. (17:11,12).
"THE LAMB WILL CONQUER THEM". (17:14).
"And the ten horns that you saw
mean ten kings, who have not yet received a kingdom, but they do
receive authority as kings one hour with the wild beast. These have
one thought, and so they give their power and authority to the wild beast. These
will battle with the Lamb, but, because he is Lord of lords and King of kings,
the Lamb will conquer them. Also, those called and chosen and faithful with
him will do so."
(17:12 14).
"UNTIL THE WORDS OF GOD WILL HAVE BEEN ACCOMPLISHED." (17:17).
The "ten kings", the
"wild beast", and the "wild beast ascending out of the earth"
that has "two horns like a lamb" but speaks as a "dragon"
are all from the same evil spirit source, namely, the "dragon"
satan. (13:11). One symbolic "hour" (approximately 15 days)
is the period when all kingly powers over men unite on earth and leave their own
separate wars "to wage the war with the one seated on the horse"
The Christ Michael. (19:19). Thereafter, the Kingdom of God will begin.
